23rd September, Monday - glass bottom boat

Your blogger today is Paul.

We woke to another beautiful day in paradise - well rested and ready for more relaxation.

The food has been amazing and breakfast didn’t disappoint again - we filled up ready for another day of intense relaxation.  The coffee here is better than expected and the pan au chocolates are divine!

We geared up for the beach and boarded the glass bottomed boat which departed from our beach which is only a 30 second stroll from the hotel.  The tour did not disappoint and took us along the reef where we saw all sorts of fish and coral, but the highlight was all the beautiful turtles we saw.

Departing the boat we had nothing else to do other than sit on the beach and lounge on the sun loungers.  Swimming and SUP boarding was interrupted only by the waiter regularly bringing us beers and cocktails.  The girls managed to find the time to buy local sarongs today - I think they bought so many bracelets yesterday that they had to shift their focus to clothing.

Lunch rolled around and the usual difficult decisions began - we settled on pepper steak with chips and some of the brave amongst us went for the local fish of the day which was Dorado.  Needless to say we drank cocktails and wine and couldn’t say no to dessert.

We stayed by pool in the afternoon and snoozed away in the sun - I think I ended up snoring again on the sun lounger.

Cara has been doing her yoga and gymnastics on the SUP board and Amber has been a fixture around the bar area painting and ordering milkshakes at her leisure.  The two girls have taken to occasionally dining together and away from us which I think makes them feel very grown up and independent.

And here I am sitting around the pool and bar area drinking a local beer and writing a little update - terribly hard life indeed and something I could certainly get very used too.

I think we may have some light entertainment after dinner tonight - I’m sure we might even have another drink.

Tomorrow we are tasked with a day of snorkelling- an exhausting itinerary indeed! We may have to have an early night.
